Hit the ground running with an active, established patient base.
Bedford South Dentistry is looking for an Associate Dentist to join our established, thriving family practice located in the vibrant Larry Uteck area in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
This is a unique opportunity for the right dentist. You’ll be stepping directly into an existing, active patient schedule.
Schedule: This position could be an ideal fit for an experienced dentist who is still building their practice, someone who is entering the wind-down phase of their career and looking for a more flexible schedule, or even a new graduate looking for the right place to begin their professional journey.
We have an open palette and are more interested in finding the right person to complement our team than in imposing a rigid, one-size-fits-all schedule that you’re expected to fill. We currently have 2–5 days per week available, with the flexibility to build a schedule that works for both you and our practice.
We welcome new graduates and encourage anyone who thinks they might be a good fit to reach out and start a conversation with us. You don’t need to fit a particular mould or have everything figured out. We’re simply looking for the right person to join our team, and we’re open to exploring what that could look like together.
The Environment & Team
Our clinic is bright, modern, and welcoming. Designed with large windows and plenty of natural light, we provide a beautiful space for both our patients and our team. More importantly, you’ll be joining an experienced, long-standing clinical and administrative team that knows how to keep a high-volume dental practice running smoothly.
What makes Bedford South Dentistry different?

- Robust Hygiene Program: A strong, proactive hygiene department that continuously drives and supports comprehensive restorative treatment.
- Advanced Infrastructure: Modern, fully equipped operatories featuring top-tier digital technology.
- Location Perks: Convenient access with ample free parking for staff and patients.
- Growth and Relationships: The perfect balance of being busy from day one while still having the autonomy to develop your own long-term patient relationships.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program.
- Be licensed and in good standing with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dentistry and Dental Assisting (NSRDDA) (or be eligible to obtain licensure).
- Hold all required current certifications (including CPR) and professional liability coverage.
- Be committed to providing excellent, gentle, patient-centered care.
- Value strong communication, clinical collaboration, and teamwork.
Experience is a strong asset, but finding the right cultural fit for our tight-knit team and wonderful patients is equally important.
Whether you’re already practicing in the Halifax Regional Municipality or considering a relocation to beautiful Atlantic Canada, we’d love to have a conversation.
Your chair—and your patients—are ready when you are.
