Spring Garden Dentistry is looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! If you’re passionate about patient care and want to work in a collaborative and professional environment, this opportunity is for you!

About the Role

You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive top-quality care. From assisting the dentist during procedures to educating patients on oral hygiene, your work will contribute to the overall efficiency of our practice and enhance the patient experience.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare treatment areas and assist the dentist during exams and procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Take and develop x-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with documentation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
• Manage and track dental supplies and inventory.
• Provide chairside assistance during emergency dental situations.
• Perform basic lab tasks such as pouring and trimming study models.
• Assist with administrative duties, including appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups.

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program, NDAEB,  and must be licensed to work in Nova Scotia.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental assisting role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and dental equipment.
• Proficiency with dental imaging software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
