We are a busy, established and modern dental practice with a supportive team, a patient-centred approach, and a strong emphasis on providing high-quality dentistry using current technology and digital workflows.
This is a full-time clinical position with plenty of variety. In addition to traditional chairside assisting, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our dentists with implant dentistry, oral surgery and sedation procedures, including acting as a second assistant for more advanced treatments. The position will also include helping manage our overflow operatory for emergency patients, post-operative checks, deliveries and other shorter clinical appointments.
Experience with implants, surgery or sedation would be an asset, but is not required. We are happy to provide training for an RDA who is enthusiastic, dependable and interested in developing these skills.
What we offer:
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
- Three weeks of vacation, increasing annually
- Extended health benefits, with the option to add family coverage
- Complimentary dental treatment for the employee and dependants
- Annual uniform allowance
- Approved continuing education and professional registration expenses paid by the office
- Predominantly Monday–Thursday daytime schedule, with occasional Friday mornings
- Modern clinical technology and digital dental workflows
- Exposure to implant, surgical and sedation dentistry
- A stable, collaborative and genuinely supportive team environment
Our regular office hours are approximately 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday mornings.
We are looking for an RDA who takes pride in patient care, works well as part of a team, and enjoys being involved in a progressive clinical environment. Applicants must be eligible for current licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant in Nova Scotia.
If you are interested in learning more about the position, we would be very happy to have a confidential conversation.
