Currently, we are recruiting for an Administrative Assistant, specializing in accounts receivable management and dental insurance, to join our busy downtown clinic. Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming insurance payments and associated allocations to patient accounts accurately and according to established timelines.
- Follow-up on pending and overdue patient accounts to maintain accounts receivable metrics. Provide updates and reports to management on a regular basis.
- Act as a first point of contact, setting the tone for a positive patient experience. Manage front desk operations, with a focus on greeting visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Manage telephone inquiries and provide customer support through effective phone etiquette and prompt response to inquiries.
- Adhere to office financial policies and practices to facilitate timely and accurate processing of payments and insurance submissions.
- Support office functions by managing patient records, insurance information, and appointment reminders as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Provide support to fellow administrative team member as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency within the office environment.
Experience:
- Previous clerical or administrative experience in the insurance or dental field demonstrating reliability and professionalism is required. Candidates must have previous experience in dental/medical administration and/or accounts receivable.
- Experience and/or specialized training in accounting, particularly accounts receivable management would be a definite asset.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong sense of urgency focused on prioritizing tasks effectively.
Schedule:
32-40 hours per week. Availability Monday to Saturday during clinic hours 8AM – 5PM Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
