Description
Halifax Endodontics is currently hiring for the permanent full-time position of
Dental Assistant/Receptionist. We are a specialist practice in the field of endodontics. We offer a clean, comfortable work environment with free parking.
The dental assistant may work with either of two endodontists at any time. This would be a 50/50 DA float position, with front desk duties.
Duties: (include but are not limited to):
• Assist chair side as scheduled; including operatory setup/tear down, digital imaging, instrument sterilization
• Work in conjunction with the other dental assistant(s) on staff
• Basic maintenance of equipment – including but not limited to: oiling of hand pieces, replacing damaged files and/or blades.
• Other practice duties may include supply ordering/inventory, light cleaning,
• Reception Desk duties may include; working with office manager to confirm appointments, recalls, checking patients in/out, submitting insurance claims, light clerical assignments, and other related tasks.
Qualifications:
• Registered Dental Assistant, licensed with NSRDDA
• Versed in dental software (ABELDent or equivalent)
• Proficient in basic computer skills, MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Able to work as a dedicated team player in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high professional standards and clear communication.

Hours of Work:
Office Hours are Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm and Fri 8am-1pm.
Due to the nature of endodontic treatment, emergencies may occasionally cause work hours to slightly extend past our usual closing time, but generally we are an office that prides itself on running on time.
