Description
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple dental clinics in Truro and New Glasgow. This role is ideal for a strong people leader with extensive dental industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with regular travel between clinic locations.
The Area Manager plays a key leadership role across two clinic locations, ensuring operational excellence, staff engagement, and high-quality patient care while supporting dentists and teams to perform at their best. This position requires a hands-on presence in both clinics.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple dental clinics
• Maintain a consistent on site presence through regular travel between Truro and New Glasgow
• Act as the primary support for dentists, office managers, and clinical teams
• Manage and support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
• Ensure clinics are compliant with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support scheduling, staffing models, and workflow optimization
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, performance metrics, and operational improvements
• Lead and support change management initiatives
• Oversee and support implementation and use of dental software and technology systems
• Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve clinic operations
• Foster a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture
Qualifications and Experience
• Extensive dental industry experience is required
• Proven experience in an area manager, operations manager, or senior office management role
• Experience overseeing more than one clinic location
• Solid HR experience including employee relations, coaching, and performance management
• Comfortable working with dental software, technology systems, and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable with frequent travel between clinic locations
