Description
We are growing again here at Daybreak Orthodontics and are looking for a detail oriented Hygienist to join our awesome team! Ortho experience not required, we are looking for someone motivated to learn!!

Your responsibilities:
– Provide individualized patient care with a positive and warm attitude
– Prepare patients for the orthodontist and provide chair-side assistance to the orthodontist during procedures and operations, when needed
– Perform orthodontic clinical procedures such as banding, bonding, appliance insertion and wire changes/adjustments under the direction of the orthodontist
– Take and develop dental radiographs, digital scans, and photographs, as needed
– Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices to maintain healthy teeth and gums during orthodontic treatment
– Educate patients on proper orthodontic appliance care
– Identify and report dental conditions that require the attention of the orthodontist
Your qualifications:
– Holds a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree from an accredited program
– Valid provincial dental hygienist license and certification, in good standing
– Experience in an orthodontic practice is not required but is preferable
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
– Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, equipment, and x-ray technology
– Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
– Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic
-Possess excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have a compassionate and caring demeanor toward your patients
– Work well in a close-knit team
